Thunderbird Lodge and Resort is located on FM 2341, about a 10 minute drive from Burnet, Texas. The larger city of Marble Falls is about 25 minutes away, and the city of Austin is less than an hour away.

The resort sits on 26 rolling acres surrounded by large escarpments, with Spider Mountain providing the backdrop on the south side. The north and west side is a picturesque scene with the FM road winding along the large bluffs. A flowing creek can be seen running through the bottom.  This setting alone offers the one of the prettiest backgrounds one would want for a lodge and resort. The entry road to the property is a paved county road that accesses off the paved FM road.

This resort consists of twenty-three cottages of many sizes that sleep 2 to 20 people. All are complete with kitchens, linens, satellite TV, outdoor barbeque pits, and picnic tables. In addition to the cottages, the resort offers several children’s playgrounds, as well as volleyball and basketball courts. A swimming pool and pavilion provides the best in entertainment for the entire family. Most of the cottages have relaxing porches and balcony’s to sit and enjoy the beauty of the area.

In addition to all the other cabins and structures, there are also two homes that the owners live in as well as a maintenance building.

The home is beautifully decorated and ready to entertain the family and guest for any occasion.  Attached to the home is a covered deck that offers a great place to sit and take in the beautiful escarpments that surround the property. A branch of Morgan Creek can be heard flowing into the lake form the balcony and outdoor patio.
